The 6 components of vision “See No Evil”

The 6 Components of Vision

First, let’s talk about this word “dream” that you have heard so much about and how it fits into vision. While a dream is an important part of the puzzle, it is just the beginning. Dreams open up your imagination and ability for your mind to “see” what it is that you can conceive for your life.

Are you stuck? Consider changing your focus! “See No Evil”

If you sometimes feel as though you’re caught in life’s quicksand, you have a lot of company.

Anything is Possible

The other day I was reading a very interesting article concerning a shark attack that occurred way back in 1916. It played off along the North East coast of the U.S. and concerned a great white shark, that had been had been terrorizing the New Jersey beaches. Now everybody knows and accepts that a shark is a creature of the sea and needs salty water to survive. Therefore, nobody thought that a shark may attack them in freshwater, but that is exactly what happened later that year.

This particular shark remained close to the shore and eventually swam up a river stream around Raritan Bay, attacking a couple of bathers upstream.

Shortly before the attacks occurred, a retired Sea captain, by the name of Thomas Cottrell – “JAWS STORY” saw this shark swimming upstream while crossing a bridge. He couldn’t believe his eyes, but nevertheless got into his boat and raised the alarm. Not surprisingly nobody believed him. “A shark in a river? C’mon, get real, it’s not possible.”

But you know what? As incredible as it seemed there was a shark in the river and all those who didn’t heed the warnings were in danger of being attacked.

Eventually this shark killed two people. The first victim was a teenager who may or may not have heard Cottrell’s warning. Shortly after this attack another man jumped in the water to look for the victim, even though he was told there is a shark in the water. He too was attacked and died from a severe loss of blood.

While reading this I couldn’t help thinking about September 11 and see the parallels between these two stories.

When asked by the U.S. Congress and the media, why “clues” which should have been picked up were disregarded, the heads of the FBI and CIA as well as members of the Bush administration replied, “We didn’t think they would use airplanes as missiles.”

Had the FBI and CIA believed that something like what happened on 9/11 was possible they might have put measures into place which would likely have prevented this from happening. But they didn’t, even though the hijackers left dozens of “clues.”

Similarly, if the swimmers at the US East Coast had believed Captain Cottrell when he told them there was a shark in the river, chances are that nobody would have been killed by this shark on that day.

But because they believed it is “impossible” for a shark to be found in freshwater they disregarded the warning altogether, just as the US law enforcement agencies did, resulting in many paying with their lives.

On the other hand, there are human beings who overcame extraordinary odds and accomplished great feats. Every day we hear stories of people who were told by the so-called “experts” they didn’t have what it took, yet made it regardless.

The lesson here is that anything is possible, both the good and the bad. By believing or not believing in something doesn’t mean you will not be affected by whatever happens. But it means that based on what you believe, you may take some action which may save you from something terrible or may get you out of a terrible situation.

There are many of us who are in terrible situations, including poverty, unhappiness, debt, etc. Those of us who have changed their situation did it because they believed they could make it.

Those who don’t obviously don’t believe that they can change their situation otherwise they would have done something about it, right?

How many opportunities have you missed just because you thought it wouldn’t work or wasn’t possible? Just think what you could do if you believed that you could do anything, even realize your dreams?  What great talent do you have which you have done nothing about, because you probably believed you can’t do it.

I hope to have shown you through this short story that anything is possible and that by just believing, “I Can,” your battle is already half-won.

Speaking & Thinking Your Life Into Existence!-Shared from http://youarecreators.org/

Where have I been you ask? It’s been a little while since I browsed my favorite blogs andshared or wrote anything on my site. After a week of trying to get my site the way I finally wanted, I took a much-needed break, I meditated, I wrote it down and I finished those two books I was working on. One is all the different ways to meditate and one is on man’s best friend. Very soon the time will come when I will put it on my site, but at this time…I am back to blogging, back to browsing, back to commenting and back to sharing. I thought this video would be appropriate with what I am working on next. I put the cart way in front of the horse and can’t wait till I’m done with this next one.

I will be sharing, creating and posting contents like this, so they can highlight my 2 books that will be on sale on my site this week. STAY TUNED!!

Can you please help a fellow blogger out?

Thank you all so much for re-following me to my new site and thanks for the patience of inheriting a few broken links because of my move. I’m a total newbie on this as well.  As much as I love the bells and whistles this new self hosting site has, I am still having an issue on the comment(s) transfer from the WordPress site to this new site. The issue I have is NONE. None I tell you! I don’t have any comments on this site. NADA! That’s how frustrated I got, but I have an idea. Read on….

When I first transferred my WordPress site to this self hosting blog, I kept the old site open..just in case I made a mistake.  The problem I first had, was when I first posted on my new site.  The post came out on my WordPress site and on my new hosting site, but I only saw all the “new” subscribers, comments and likes coming in on my old site, but not on my new one. After researching, calling and chatting, I figured out I hadn’t pointed something, something to my new site.  Long story short, I pointed, I deleted, I lost all my subscribers, likes and any new comments I had forever.

So, my plan is….can you please help a fellow blogger out?? A comment of a “hi” or any type of banter would be very much appreciated.  I will even send you my book I wasn’t originally intending to give away as a “thank you.”  IF YOU “LIKE” THIS BLOG, THAN THAT MEANS YOU MADE A COMMENT. I think that’s the only way I can find out.

On my next post, I will update if this was successful or not.  If not, I will have to put on my techie hat and try again. This self-hosting is a challenge.

The Desperation Cycle and Failing Motivation

Their are so many times in our life we would like to try something new. Like a new sport, different style haircut, upgrading our wardrobe or just trying to lose that weight “again,” but are afraid to try. We fear we may encounter the sceptics or hear the criticism we may receive from others. Over time we were brainwashed into believing other people’s opinions mattered and think they hold more weight than our own feelings and we hate that feeling of being judged.

If you want to break old habits, you must not be controlled by any outside people or forces. You must have the inner control of your own feelings and not let anyone weaken that motivation you need. You have to let your inner-self shine.

Everything is fine, there is nothing wrong with a little criticism. You just have to be able to decipher between the truths, listen for it and ask yourself, if there is any truth to what your ego or someone is saying? Do they really know what they are talking about? If you feel they are after careful consideration, then use their feedback to improve. If your intuition tells you they are full of it, then disregard it, move on and be true to yourself and only accept opinions that hold truths!

Don’t be afraid to criticize yourself as well, but make sure it is your own opinion and not someone else’s. If you don’t like something about yourself, then change it. Always try to improve yourself.

However, sometimes our own criticisms are tainted. This goes back to being brainwashed when we were young. Others have fed us so much information over the years that may have altered our thoughts of our own potential for greatness. Since we were not trying to decipher between the truth , our thoughts have turned into a messy desk where we can’t find anything we want. Lets do this! It’s time to clean up the mess of criticism, restructure and get motivated. This is the only way you will be able to change our habits and better our life.

For example, let’s say you have a high school reunion coming up, but for the past decade, you’ve been enjoying some of life’s finer foods. Over the years, your pants have become a little tighter and tighter. You don’t want to go your reunion in this fat stage. You then begin to fear what it’s going to be like to show up at your reunion looking this way. Panic hits and you vow that you will lose weight before the looming event arrives. To that end, you starve yourself. You even start to exercise. The pounds come off and you go to your reunion, a slimmer and more confident you. Then the cycle comes full circle. You get home and think it’d be nice to continue shedding the pounds, but you realize it’s harder than you thought. You begin to enjoy the finer things in life again, just a bit at first then more and more as time goes by. The weight then returns and you start the vicious cycle all over again.

So what now? What will the critics say once you have gained all that weight back? What about “no motivation, something must have happened, how about….she/he just got lazy?” Is it really the motivation and criticism that has us at a stand still?  Is the lack of motivation the go-to-excuse?

Many think motivation is useless because it doesn’t ensure long-lasting results. Well, sometimes they are right.  This thought tendency can be seen in what I call the Desperation Cycle. The Desperation Cycle shows how human nature influences us to take the easiest path instead of the best one. In persuasion, we need to pull people out of the Desperation Cycle and into permanent, long-term motivation, but how?

We all know we are creatures of habit. We are like water following the path of least resistance. As creatures of habit, we dwell in our comfort zones, places where we don’t have to think or spend much energy in analyzing our surroundings. In these zones, we become complacent, comfortable and resistant to change. We live by habit and routine in our comfort zones. We don’t stretch or strive for excellence. We consider change only when the pain of our current situation becomes too intense to ignore. Fear of the unknown and fear of making mistakes are also reasons why we stay in our comfort zone. We love our comfort zone because it is a safe place where we can reduce our mistakes and keep our failures to a minimum. Mark Twain said, “A cat that steps on a hot stove once will never step on a hot stove again, but neither will it step on a cold one.” The comfort zone is safe and warm, but it keeps us paralyzed and unmotivated to venture out of it.

In the Desperation Cycle, we first feel safe in our comfort zone. Then, fear begins to creep into our complacency. Only then do we realize that we haven’t accomplished any of the things we need to do. Suddenly, we fear what we are becoming and where we are going. As we contemplate our destination, we panic and work frantically to save ourselves. This frantic rehabilitation lasts just long enough for us to see exactly how steep the hill is going to be or how long the marathon really is. Then the excitement dies. We numb ourselves to these stark realizations and find ourselves lulled back into our comfort zone. So is this all the ego’s doing? Did you recognize exactly what the signs were?  Did you recognize what fear mongers are doing this to your psyche and why? Three words would sum this all up.  Lack of Determination.

“Lack” of determination to succeed in eating right and staying healthy, so “lack” would be the ego family member that is hindering out successful, happy, healthy life. It gives us that Lack of Determination to believe in ourselves. Lack of determination to make the change for improvement.  Lack of confidence.

If we do not remove the brainwashing that was pre-programmed in us while we were growing up, we will always have that fear that someone will always be judging us.  Why should you care?  This is your life!
Motivation is just a skill, but determination should always be a way of life.  Success is not achieved without determination.
